On Wednesday 30 November, we hosted the second Hui of the year to celebrate our achievements in 2011 and look at where to next for 2012. It was an excellent evening and was great to see families having fun together.

We held a WOW display during September with a guest speaking coming into the school.

This was Rippa Rugby Team who represented the school in the Porirua Rugby Nations Tournament 2011. This was only open to schools in the Porirua region however because of our affiliation with a school in the area, we were also invited to take part. This happened during the Rugby World Cup and each school represented a country playing in the cup. We represented South Africa.

This was where our Year 5/6 students had to complete two challenges.  The first was a home made ginger beer (gingy vingy) and the second was a mystery challenge - which was to make a sturdy back pack.  They competed against other schools in the area and won.
